Website just gone live but cant be found?...
One of the most commonly asked questions we get asked after a website is complete is "why is my website not ranking high on Google". We even get asked this the day after a website is complete.
To answer this question a website won't be found on Google or any other search engine searches immediately after it goes live. The website needs to first of all indexed by the search engines after being registered on them. Each day there are tens (and possibly hundreds) of thousands of websites that go live - don't expect to be found using any search terms for at least a few days. Even after that you have got to be realistic and understand you are competing with competitors who have had a website and online presence for much longer periods. A new website certainly won't rank anywhere high upon completion, it takes months to filter into a natural SERP (search engine rank position) and it also takes work from your own side to help it to achieve its best ranking. At Aztec web design Wexford we suggest giving it 6 months to filter in naturally. We also suggest posting backlinks to your website on your social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter as frequently as possible - the more backlinks the better.
To give your website its best possible chance of ranking high perform other off page SEO tasks such as setting up a Google Business Page, driving traffic to your website using Facebook advertising, sending out newsletters with links to your website and promoting your website where possible.
If you are having any trouble with any of the above get in touch with the friendly team at Aztec Design - we're here to help!
